Dock Navigation

SharePoint.DockNavigation.gif

The SmartTools DockNavigation component adds an overlay to every page of a specific SharePoint site to allow users to navigate to the List or Document Libraries of that site. The overlay is non intrusive and displays itself using a nice animation. Click here for a downloadable high definition video of the installation procedure and a demo: http://www.vimeo.com/2406932, or check out the embedded video at the bottom of this page.

The SmartTools DockNavigation component requires the jQuery component to be installed! (download this component in the releases tab: http://www.codeplex.com/smarttools/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx)

Cannot resolve video macro, invalid parameter 'type'.

Ok, so I know this dock tool lhasn't been 'active'for quite some time - however having just been tasked with setting up a sharepoint site, i've come across this and love the concept! I have almost zero programming skills, however can google with the best of them. I've managed to reposition the menu to the left hand side, and can probably manage making the icons slightly bigger (think Mac) but would really like it to be an almost hidden tab that pops out when you hover over it.

I'd ALSO like to change the menu content to be the quicklaunch menu, and hide the original, clunky quicklaunch all together!

I'll persevere and see if i can figure it out, but ANY help would be greatly appreciated :)

Nice. Can it be configured to choose which items are on the dock?
