jQuery installation change

Suggestion for a jquery installation change. The current install drops the file into 12\template\layouts\smarttools.jquery. This is great because we can *always* access it via the virtual "/_layouts" dir. However in the delegate control (and the file) it's the hard coded version number.

When you activate the feature this is added to your header:

<script type="text/javascript" src="/_layouts/SmartTools.jQuery/jquery-1.3.min.js"></script>

However in an update scenario would it be better to have a more generic reference like:

<script type="text/javascript" src="/_layouts/SmartTools.jQuery/jquery.js"></script>

Then a) in development I can deploy the unencrypted jquery.js (for debugging) but in prod I can deploy jquery.min.js (as jquery.js) b) for updates I can just xcopy my files as jquery.js from whatever version I want.

Thoughts?
